Up to when are applications accepted? Applications are accepted through the deadline date of midnight, Nov 15th and Incomplete applications cannot be reviewed. 

When will the application process start and end, and when will the residencies be awarded? The open call for applications begins on October 15th each year with a deadline of November 15th for both residency dates. Awarded applicants will be notified no later than December 15th. 

Can I apply for both monthly residencies? Yes.

Can we write about whatever we want? Yes, while expressing yourself within prose, poetry and journalism, while considering the themes that have been listed in the application description.

Who is reviewing the applications? A group of experienced writers and editors.

Will we have a community to participate with if we wish?: Yes, a vibrant arts community exists in the Salmon River Valley. Plenty of company and interaction if desired.

Do we need to have a car? Yes, a car is suggested though one can
walk to many beautiful places around the residence itself.

Can we bring our pets? Unfortunately no, the residence will not accommodate pets.
